When can I be seen?
At the Dental Sanctuary we have emergency appointments set aside for each day so that we are available for our patients when they need us most. In many cases, we will see you on the day you call. So that we can best look after you, we advise you call first thing in the morning so we can dedicate one of our emergency appointments to you.
What can be done for my tooth?
We are here to provide you with the information you need to make the best decision for your tooth. We will show you the current health of your tooth and all the treatment options available. This may include a filling, crown, tooth cleaning, root canal therapy or extraction.
Your dentist will help guide you in making a decision, and keep you as comfortable as possible during your appointment.
Why is it so important to come in as soon as possible?
There are numerous reasons that will bring you to the dentist. It could be trauma, a chipped tooth, a sore tooth or gum swelling. Whatever the reason, the sooner you are seen, the better the result. It usually means there are more treatment options and less risk of spreading infection if these problems are addressed as soon as possible.
If you have a facial swelling and you are having difficulty breathing or swallowing, please go straight to the Emergency Department at your nearest hospital.
If you are unsure, please give us a call and we will help guide you. We are open extended hours during the week and on Saturdays by appointment.
