Cosmetic Facial Injectables
What are cosmetic Facial Injectables?
Cosmetic Facial injectables can be used to address areas of concern. Over time, with our daily expressions of smiling, laughing, frowning and raising our eyebrows, lines or wrinkles can form in undesirable areas. Cosmetic Facial Injectables can be tailored to your needs to allow function and expressions but reduce wrinkles at rest. Our aim at the Dental Sanctuary is to provide a natural result so that you will look fresh and glowing!
What are Cosmetic Facial Injectables?
Cosmetic Anti-Wrinkle Injectables are used to modify the muscle activity under the skin surface to allow the skin to rejuvenate. Areas where there are deeper lines will require a few treatments to allow the skin to heal and reduce wrinkles over time.
The Dermal Filler that we use at the Dental Sanctuary is a Hyaluronic Acid based substance. It is a naturally occurring substance that hydrates and provides volume to our skin. As we age and suffer from damage to our skin, our skin tends to lose volume and lines are formed. The aim is to replace the loss of volume.
When will I see my result?
Depending on the individual, Anti-Wrinkle treatments will start to take effect from a few days but the full effect will be seen at 2 weeks.
With Fillers, you will see the result from the day of treatment but can take a few days to settle in.
How long does the treatment last?
Anti-wrinkle treatment can last up to 4 months before the muscle returns to its full activity. This is dependent on your metabolism. The effects last a longer period with repeated treatment.
Fillers can last from 3 to 6 months. This is also dependent on your metabolism.
What are some areas that I can address?
- Headaches/Facial pain associated with Teeth Clenching (TMD)
- Forehead lines
- Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
- Crows feet (laughter lines around the eyes)
- Gummy Smile
- Lip Enhancement
Do you numb for these procedures?
The advantage of having these treatments at the Dental Sanctuary is that we can numb the areas with either numbing cream or local anaesthetic to make the process more comfortable.
